We just had a very long vacation last week because of the chinese new year. This year’s chinese new year festivities fell last Feb. 18~20 (Sunday to Tuesday) in addition to the 2 days of official holiday our company gave us also a 3 days off plus my personal day off on Saturday and the 2 Sundays. So all in all I got a 8 days rest.
Weeks before the chinese new year festivities I already have a itienerary of where I am going to spend that incoming long holiday, because some of my friends here in Singapore invited me to join them on their plans to go for a road trip to Malaysia. And because perhaps I have this adventurous side and always looking for a places that I have’nt visited yet I readilly agreed to join them.
A day before the first day of the long holiday comes I contacted my friend and asked if our suppose road trip will going to push through. But to my disappointment they told me that the supposed plan of road trip to Malaysia will not going to happen at all for some reasons. So I was just left wandering what will I going to do, now without any back-up plans in case the original plan fails.
Well good thing, we have a cable subscription in our TV so I just thought then I might have to stay at home and maybe transform myself to a couch potato and do a movie marathon.
And the supposed road trip adventure for me became a long boring holiday, well better luck next time and perhaps I’ll just do it alone.
